Chase Travels
In her time, Chase has been a good many places, like any well-used sailboat. She sailed to Nova Scotia with Christopher Reeve, was a day-sail charter boat in the Keys, and even spent 3 years “sailing” on the hard in Essex, Connecticut.
Under the current owners, she’s been used a lot. She’s been to the Caribbean for the winter twice, competed in two Marion-Bermuda races, and in the 100th Anniversary Newport-Bermuda race. She also safely transported her crew back and forth across the Atlantic—via Europe, the Canaries, and the Caribbean—in 2003/2004.
Her next big trip is back to Europe in June of 2010, via the Azores. She’ll spend several years in the Mediterranean, where her owners and friends will use her.
